Summary

Ozgur Koray Sahingoz earned his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University in 1993, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Computer Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University in 1998 and 2006, respectively. He pursued his postdoctoral studies at the Twente Research and Education on Software Engineering (TRESE), which is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science at Twente University in Enschede, Netherlands, from September 2011 to September 2012.

He has been consistently recognized as one of the "Most Prestigious Scientists in the World," featuring in the "World’s Top 2% Scientists List" from 2019 to 2023. This prestigious ranking is compiled by Stanford University researchers John P. A. Ioannidis, Jeroen Baas, Richard Klavans, and Kevin W. Boyack, and highlights the leading scientists globally across various disciplines.

He is currently a Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Biruni University. Professor Sahingoz has authored over 120 research papers and is actively involved in three ongoing research projects. His areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data science, software engineering, and UAV networking (FANET).

Throughout his career, Professor Sahingoz has successfully mentored over 20 MSc students and 5 Ph.D. Students. He has played a significant role in reviewing over 100 national and international projects, particularly those associated with TUBITAK and KOSGEB under the Ministry of Industry and Technology in Turkey. Additionally, he is a diligent reviewer for more than 110 journals indexed in the Science Citation Index (SCI/Expanded).
