Summary
My academic journey has been shaped by a deep interest in understanding the behavioral dimensions of financial markets and their intersection with computational technologies. Since transitioning from a career in financial management and hedge fund operations in 2005, I have focused on research and teaching in behavioral finance and its integration with computer science.
In 1996, I co-founded Halberdier Capital Management Singapore Pte, launching a multi-strategy hedge fund in Bermuda the following year. The practical insights gained during this period have informed much of my later academic work. After leaving the fund in 2005, I joined Kwansei Gakuin University Graduate School of Business in Japan, where I earned tenure and was promoted to full professor in 2011. My research has been featured in publications and presentations exploring the influence of behavioral biases on financial decision-making and the application of computational tools in finance.
In 2023, I joined K2Q Capital in London as Head of Research, where I continue to explore behavioral finance through innovative technologies. My work seeks to bridge theory and practice, contributing to a deeper understanding of how human behavior and technology shape financial markets.
