Summary

My name is Talita, I am a biologist working in geoprocessing (GIS) and spatial analysis since 2007.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UNICAMP (2007) and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering College also at UNICAMP (2010). In my Master's, I investigated cumulative impacts and projected future scenarios based on spatiotemporal analysis of four and a half decades of land use-cover change. In addition, I correlated the cumulative impacts with land use-cover and environmental laws in force in that same period.
Based on the knowledge acquired in the Master's degree, I was able to carry out many consultant services both in public and private spheres such as EMBRAPA, World Bank, Funbio, Fundação Florestal among others. I have more than ten autonomous consultant jobs integrating multidisciplinary data to achieve objectives including Juréia Itatins Management Plan, calculating Key Performance Indicator for mining areas, mapping land use to support REDD++ projects and preparing geoportal (WebGis) for projects such as RenovaBio and TerraClass. In 2013 I started a PhD in Agricultural Engineering at UNICAMP aiming to model soil organic carbon in natural and anthropic areas of Brazilian Savannah. Simultaneously to my PhD I worked on TerraClass (for brazilian Amazon and Cerrado), which I am still working as an employee at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. In TerraClass project I am responsible for differentiating croplands in single or double crop areas using machine learning in the R programming language and responsible for creating process automation in Python for ArcGis and in Javascript using Google Earth Engine. In addition, I perform the visual interpretation of other thematic classes, such as sugar cane, perennial agriculture, silviculture, pastureland and natural cover areas for the purpose of monitoring and studying the land use-cover changes.
During this trajectory, I taught courses comprising theoretical and practical classes, published scientific articles in national and international journals, and at different times disclosed results in face-to-face or virtual events. I am a communicative, creative, organized person who loves to work on field trips. I have traveled to the states of Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, São Paulo and Tocantins.
