Summary

In my PhD, I am worked on marker-assisted backcross breeding in sunflower to develop high oleic acid lines, assess heterosis, powdery mildew resistance, and conduct generation mean analysis and diversity studies. My focus includes the development of high oleic, high-yielding hybrids, and screening for powdery mildew resistance. During my MSc, I worked on turmeric, conducting morphological, molecular, and biochemical analyses, and identified diverse genotypes with high curcumin content and high yield potential.
