Laura D Howe

Summary

Laura Howe is a statistical epidemiologist, with expertise in the modelling of repeated measures data. Her main interest is in understanding how factors from across the life course come together to influence health and disease. To do this, we need better methods for making the most of the detailed longitudinal data that is collected within cohort studies. Laura conducts methodological research into statistical methods for life course data, and apply these methods to studies of obesity, cardiometabolic health and healthy ageing. She also has an interest in inequalities in health from a life course perspective, particularly focusing on how socioeconomic differences emerge and change across life and in using longitudinal data to explore what factors might explain them.

Laura is also a statistical editor for the International Journal of Epidemiology.
