Summary

I am a zoologist and an ecologist. I conducted research on brachyuran crabs, gastropods, polychaetes, and fishes. I worked in both tropical and temperate riverine and intertidal ecosystems, studying aspects of the systematics, molecular evolution, ecology, ecomorphology, physiology, and ethology of these species. I typically have an interdisciplinary approach, using specific groups of animals and a range of different methodologies. I investigated these ecological and evolutionary topics from different points of view, at the gene, organism, population, and community levels.
