    Summary

    I study how people differ psychologically, what mechanisms underlie these differences, and what the consequences of these individual differences are. Examples of questions this work addresses include:

    1. How does social status impact on the genetic expression of talent?
    2. What are the economic payoffs for reading and math?
    3. Does school raise IQ?
    4. What are the basic dimensions of personality? What do they affect?
    5. What is the molecular genetic basis of reading, and of intelligence?
