Summary

My research is primarily focused on obesity and diet-induced diabetes and hepatic diseases; I am working on several interrelated factors that play important in progressive of diet-induced diabetes and hepatic diseases, as oxygen free radicals, autophagy, mitochondria dysfunction, apoptosis, fatty acid-induced hepatic steatosis, fibrosis and insulin resistance. Especially on metabolic diseases: diabetes, fatty acid induced hepatic diseases.
