Muscle size explains low passive skeletal muscle force in heart failure patients

Editor rating: 8 / 10

Mario Negrello –– Given the ample relevance of cardiovascular problems, it is important to understand the factors contributing to the weakening of passive skeletal forces. The paper clearly indicates that it is muscle size that primarily relates to this weakening, suggesting particular treatment venues for effective treatment.
Food safety in Thailand 4: comparison of pesticide residues found in three commonly consumed vegetables purchased from local markets and supermarkets in Thailand

Editor rating: 8 / 10

Graciela Piñeiro –– The article includes valuable information to the field as it describes an inconvenient but real situation concerning the use of excessive concentrations of harm pesticides on highly consumed food, supposedly to be free of them. Many characters should be involved to avoid this kind of issues, but periodic controls as might be required, are expensive and not available for developing countries. Therefore, this problem remains unknown most of the time. Is for that reason that any contribution to increase our knowledge about the security of the food that people decide to eat, will be successful and useful to spread the news and know how and why this is happening. Thus, this kind of papers should be welcome by the entire scientific community.
