Summary
PhD in Nitrogen Fixation at the University of Sussex, England, followed by postdocs in bacterial pathogenesis at UPenn and UIUC. As an Assistant Professor at UTennessee HSC started BSL3 laboratory and studied Salmonella and Francisella. As a fellow of the interpretation of genomes and a Researcher at Argonne National Labs worked on the National Microbial Pathogen Data Resource, where we started RAST, MGRAST, SEED, etc. In 2007 started at SDSU as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science
