Summary
José Ramón Morales Avalos has more than 25 years in the Electronics’ industry, having the opportunity to work for companies like Samsung Electronics and Intel® Corporation. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering with specialty in Telecommunications from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in México in 1996; his Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Technology for Education from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 2010; and he is in the process of concluding his PhD at the area of Innovation in Education Technologies at the same university. He has collaborated in 2 book chapters, more than 50 international conferences and more than 200 national conferences. He has done research in emerging markets mainly analyzing the impact of technology. In the last years, the focus of his research has been on educational technology, mainly understanding the impact of the technology on the academic performance of the students in elementary schools. Currently, he is the Innovation Director at the Intel® Guadalajara Design Center and the Innovation Vice-president from the CANIETI Occidente. Nowadays, his major objectives are to contribute to the developing of the engineering talent in the region and foster the Innovation competencies among our new students’ generations.
