Could vitamin C be used in patients with tuberculosis?

I found the article very interesting, but as a clinician I wonder if vitamin C could ever be used in patients with tuberculosis. Other studies have suggested that the ascorbic acid concentrations required to kill Mycobacterium tuberculosis are difficult to achieve in humans.
