Do nighttime oxygen spikes occur in terrestrial forests?

This is a great article! Do you know of any terrestrial analogues? I could not find any oxygen time series from terrestrial forests, though it must have been done somewhere. Also, can you rule out the release of stored oxygen, versus direct production, as a cause of the DO spikes? Regards, David
