Shouldn't 1/4+1/4-1/16 = 0.4375 ?

In repeat CG region, if k=5, s=2, then the smallest smer would never be at the start or end of kmer, could this secnario be the counter-example for window guarantee of circular closed syncmer? Or the CG-island should be special scenario?

Should the note of this table is: "Id short identifier used in Table 5" rather than "Table 3" ?

What are the depth and spacing entries? Were there general trends across the parameter space that could advise which parameter settings to look at?

What are the "-"s in the t column? I thought they were no offset, but isn't that t=1?

I may be misunderstanding the w parameter here or the minimap/kraken papers, but I thought Kraken was k=16,w=16 and minimap was k=15,w=5?
