Aren't 2 of the subscripts reversed in the definition of "conflict" here?

Answer: Yes. Thanks to Joseph W. Brown for pointing this error out. The phrase "if none of A1∩B1, A1∩B2, and B2∩A1 are empty" should have read " if none of A1∩B1, A1∩B2, and B1∩A2 are empty." (note the change in the subscripts of the last pair of sets).
