What about role of aggregations in soundscape?

So animals can hide in a crowd visually, but also olfactorily. Makes me wonder how sound can be used to hide. Maybe harder for predators to hear prey (or vice-versa) in noisy locations, like beside waterfalls, traffic, waves, water current disturbance underwater, windy days.

Ooh, sound camouflage! I bet there is bat work on things like that. Perhaps whale studies too? If I were hiding from a bat, I'd definitely either try to find noisy environments or gang up with some friends and make my own confusing noise.
