Hello and thank your for this interesting research!

The practice of assigning economic value to natural things has been (IMHO thoroughly) critiqued by George Monbiot shortly before this publication. Knowing that the examples he draws on are rather extreme, I was still wondering if you could please comment on his general critique? For example with regards to the externalization of other ecological costs, like the (probably not very eco-friendly) mode of tourist transportation to the Maledives.
