Thanks for the response. I cannot see that the quoted reference suggest that WHO have defined overweight as a disease. However it does say that “Raised BMI is a major risk factor for noncommunicable diseases…». Although obesity recently has been recognized as a disease by an increasing number of organizations, this does not include overweight as defined in this discussion (BMI 25-29.9).
