Peters 2000 (not cited) added the above taxa to four previously published analyses of pterosaur outgroup relationships and all four or any of the four nested closer to basal pterosaurs, like Bergamodactylus (also noted mentioned in Baron 2020), than any other archosaur or other included taxon. Peters 2007 (not cited) recovered all these taxa within Lepidosauria, descending from late-surviving Huehuecuetzpalli. Baron's outgroup taxa have only a vestige pedal digit 5, so cannot be ancestral to basal pterosaurs with an elongate, lepidosaurian pedal digit 5, among a long list of other shared traits.
