"K02003 is the ABC (ATP binding cassette) transporter, and bacteria genomes encoding this protein showed a higher relative abundance in the healthy environment in comparison to either the adenoma or the colorectal environment."

  1. K02003 is a very large family (almost 5000 entries) of proteins classified as "putative ABC transport system ATP-binding protein" in very diverse membrane transport complexes. It seems to me that treating this item as a simple enzyme is VERY reductive.
  2. K02003 does not show "a higher relative abundance in the healthy environment in comparison to either the adenoma or the colorectal environment" in the picture, rather healthy = adenoma > cancer (also supported by the significance indicators on top of the bars).
