Did you measure morphological characters on museum specimens?
Viewed 73 times
You mentioned above that you checked six ornithological collections for potentially misidentified specimens. Did you have the opportunity to take measurements of the specimens in these collections? It seems like museum specimens would have helped to increase the sample size of your morphological measurements above the six live individuals per species that you measured. In addition, measurement of specimens in those collections would also enable you to include additional species in your analyses. This would help to better contextualize the distinctness of these Becanchén Amazona relative to previously described Amazona species.
