Do you believe the methods described in the paper would be suitable for athletic men?

Your cited papers regard healthy women and stabilizing EMG signals and the processing of that data. Do you believe the methods you used would be applicable for athletic men, or sedentary individuals? If not, what alterations would you propose? Thank you.

Hi Kyle,

Thank you for your question. We have utilized these methods in unpublished work in athletic men and have noticed similar results. However, like we mention in the paper, it may be best to "play it safe" by utilizing multiple positions (i.e., both the prone bent-leg hip extension against manual resistance and standing glute squeeze). As far as sedentary individuals are concerned, I am not sure, since we have not tested these methods on such a population.
