- Please note that in Bahar et al. 2014 we report that the so called Ax21 protein is secreted via the general Sec pathway, and NOT through a type I secretion system.
- Please not that the Han et al. 2011 citation describing Ax21 involvement in quorum sensing, motility, etc. was retracted (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0029192). Nevertheless, a more recent paper re-describe the association of Ax21 with some of these features (http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12275-014-4442-0)
- As for the sentence: "Although classically the rice XA21 receptor directly recognises Ax21" the correct citation for this sentence would be Lee et al. 2009 (Science), however, this paper was also retracted and therefore this statement is not correct.
