Might this be an alternative to fusing bones
Viewed 32 times

I'm not a clinician, I'm a patient who had scaphoid ligament reconstruction about eight years ago. I experience pain from arthritis apparently caused by the bones not nesting correctly after the reconstruction. I understand this is pretty much the norm. When it gets too bad they remove a bone and fuse another together and when this is too painful they can fuse the whole wrist.

I'm sort of lucky in that my pain has actually decreased some as the arthritis has sort of bridged a couple of bones, but, with too much activity or force they do move and I get pain.

I'm wondering it the Flexyscrew technique might be an alternative to fusing the bones?
