Summary

I am a conservation biologist who is an Associate Professor in Biology and Environmental Policy and Decision Making at the University of Puget Sound. I am also a co-founder and program director for the Chile Program at Oikonos Ecosystem Knowledge. I use applied ecological research and community-based conservation to help conserve endangered species and natural systems, with a particular focus on islands. My research program also focuses on the impacts of plastic debris in freshwater and marine ecosystems.
