Summary

Pasquale Palumbo received the Laurea (1995) and Ph.D. (2000) degrees, both in Electrical Engineering from the University of L’Aquila. In 2000 he joined the Institute of Systems Analysis and Computer Science “A. Ruberti” of the Italian National Research Council (IASI-CNR), Rome, where he is researcher since 2005. Visiting professor at the University of L’Aquila since 2000, teaching courses on Probability, Systems and Control Theory and Systems Biology. Honorary Professor at Obuda University, 2018. Member of the IEEE Control Systems Society and of the IEEE Technical Committees on “Systems Biology” and on “Healthcare and Medical Systems”. Author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications in nonlinear filtering and control systems, mathematical modeling and control of the glucose-insulin system, and systems & synthetic biology. Recipient of Kybernetika Editor’s award 2013 and of IET Systems Biology Premium Award 2018. He is currently serving as Associate Editor of PLOS-ONE and of Mathematical Problems in Engineering.
