Summary

I read pharma-biotechnology and forensic sciences. I worked at the University of Jena, Technical University of Dresden, Max Plank institute Dresden and Attomol GmnH. In 2013 I obtained a doctoral degree from the Charité. During my doctoral research, I focused upon studying cardiomyocyte gene expression and developed novel assay platforms and software for the detection and quantification of proteins and nucleic acids. Currently, am group leader at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus - Senftenberg where I intensified my interest in the development of diagnostic tools for human diseases and applied statistical bioinformatics. In addition, I am associate of the University of Surrey. My research deals with PCR based methods (qPCR, dPCR), microfluidics and methodologies based on proteins in the field of autoimmune diagnostics. My research interest in applied statistical bioinformatics mainly encompass exploiting non-linear and multivariate data sets for personalized medicine and reproducible research.
