Summary

My background is in microbial biochemistry and genetics, but since moving to JCU in the '80s I have worked extensively on the molecular genetics of corals and their relatives. We use molecular techniques, particularly high-throughput DNA sequencing, to investigate coral biology and to investigate the responses of corals to stress and microbial challenge.
