I graduated with a certificate as an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant from Caldwell Community College, NC in 2002 and then I graduated with an A.A. in Environmental Studies from Saddleback Community College, CA in 2007. I earned a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation from California State University, Fullerton. I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Biology department at University of Vermont and I am a NSF Graduate Research Fellow (NSF-GRFP). I recently completed earned a certificate of completion from the Teaching in Higher Education Graduate program at University of Vermont.
