Summary
I am a paleobiologist, and the main focus of my research is elucidating the environmental factors that influence evolution in marine animals. Current research includes the evolution of body size and ecological diversity in the oceans, modern and ancient extinction selectivity, and the coupled evolution of the sedimentary and fossils records. I am currently a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, where I run the History of Life Internship Program for Bay Area high school students.
