He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University (USA) in 1992 and a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Ohio State University (USA) in 1994. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Informatics, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. His main research interests are artificial intelligence, simulation/modeling, and optimization. He developed a fuzzy controller for an inverted pendulum system and a fuzzy-based bidding strategy for generators in an electricity market.
