Summary
I have broad interests ranging from applied (maggot meal as fish feed) and medical entomology (ectoparasites and vectors), bio-monitoring (e.g. use of blowflies for mammal diversity assessments) and conservation, to fundamental research (phylogenetics and taxonomic revisions). A unifying theme in my research is the use of short DNA sequences (barcodes, minibarcodes, metabarcodes) to understand biodiversity.
