Jennifer Gardy is the Canada Research Chair in Public Health Genomics at the University of British Columbia, and a Senior Scientist at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control. Her lab uses pathogen genomics as a tool to address real-time pubic health issues in communicable disease control, with a particular focus on genomic epidemiology – using genomics to track individual pathogen transmission events and understand epidemic dynamics.
