Funding Details

Maximum plan funds can be applied to:

The University of Groningen is an internationally oriented research university in the Netherlands with 30,000 students. Open access is one of its strategic focus areas.

For our university it is very important that research results are freely available to the public, particularly if the research has been publicly funded. This is why we encourage open access publishing.

In line with this, the University Library has set up an institutional plan with PeerJ, and has pre-purchased 36 Basic Publication Plans for its authors with PeerJ. A Basic Plan covers the article-processing charges for the first publication, and will allow our esearchers to publish one PeerJ article every subsequent year at no additional cost.
