The University of Groningen is an internationally oriented research university in the Netherlands with 30,000 students. Open access is one of its strategic focus areas.

For our university it is very important that research results are freely available to the public, particularly if the research is publicly funded. This is why we encourage open access publishing.

In line with this, the University Library has set up an institutional plan with PeerJ.

When your article has been accepted for publication, UG affiliated authors should return to this page to submit a claim for an APC and complete the email verification.

For more information about open access at our university and PeerJ, email openaccess@rug.nl or openaccess@umcg.nl.
