The University of Sussex is committed to the principles of open access publishing and fully supports open access initiatives such as PeerJ. The University has been awarded a block grant from Research Councils UK and has deposited a proportion of this with PeerJ. University of Sussex researchers are eligible to use this fund to become PeerJ members. The default is at the basic level but requests can be made to upgrade to enhanced membership if authors are planning to publish more than one article per year with PeerJ.
