The mission of the University Libraries at Virginia Tech (http://www.lib.vt.edu) is to enable people to cultivate ideas, develop capacities, and create knowledge through the University Libraries’ provision of collections, expertise, services, and environments. As part of this mission, the library advocates for open access to all forms of knowledge. Recognizing that open access publishing vastly increases free and open access to scientific research, the University Libraries at Virginia Tech is pleased to support PeerJ as an institutional member.

To encourage our authors to make their scholarship freely and immediately available, the University Libraries will pay the cost of an APC when an article is accepted for publication in PeerJ.

When your article is accepted for publication in PeerJ, Virginia Tech affiliated authors should return to this page to submit a claim for an APC and complete the email verification.

For more information about PeerJ support, please contact Philip Young (pyoung1@vt.edu). To find out more about open access at Virginia Tech, please visit the library open access page (https://guides.lib.vt.edu/oa).
