The University of Manitoba strongly supports communication of its knowledge for the cultural, social and economic well-being of its community and the world. The University of Manitoba Libraries are key contributors to open access initiatives which support this knowledge communication and translation, from the development of MSpace, its institutional repository, to its support of SPARC & the Public Knowledge Project open access software, and its Open Access Authors’ Fund. The Libraries are proud to offer PeerJ memberships to UM faculty in support of their open access publishing activities. Memberships at the Basic level are available to UM faculty, with the fee paid automatically when UM authors have an article accepted for publishing. The membership is good for an author’s entire career.
