The University of Manitoba strongly supports communication of its knowledge for the cultural, social and economic well-being of its community and the world. The University of Manitoba Libraries are key contributors to open access initiatives which support this knowledge communication and translation, from the development of MSpace, its institutional repository, to its support of SPARC & the Public Knowledge Project open access software, and its Open Access Authors’ Fund. The Libraries are proud to offer PeerJ memberships to UM faculty in support of their open access publishing activities.

Memberships at the Basic level are available to UM faculty and the membership is good for an author’s entire career.

When a paper is accepted for publication in PeerJ, please return to this page to submit your claim for a Basic Membership for each UM author and complete the email verification.

To learn more about how UM Libraries can facilitate dissemination of research through open access, please visit our Library Guide on Open Access Publishing at https://libguides.lib.umanitoba.ca/researchservices/openaccess-home.

*If you are taking the membership route, all authors of an accepted article must have a paid membership. https://peerj.com/pricing/#apc-membership-pricing
