3-year term

The Iowa State University Library is taking part in PeerJ’s Three-Year Membership Pilot Program. Thanks to this partnership, authors affiliated with Iowa State are eligible for a free three-year membership with PeerJ, which means that there will be no out-of-pocket fees for ISU authors to publish in any of PeerJ’s seven journals. At any time during the membership period, authors may publish up to three articles with PeerJ. For example, they may publish three articles in the first year of their membership or two articles their first year and one in their third, so long as they do not exceed an average of one article per year during the three-year period.

PeerJ recommends that you check your membership eligibility by contacting Iowa State University Open Access Librarian Abbey Elder for more information. You may also contact the PeerJ Communities Team to find out more about the program.

When an article is accepted, our system will recognize your institutional email address and automatically process payment via the fund. If you encounter issues with this process, please let the PeerJ team know that you have approval from your institution to have your article covered under an institutional membership, and we will follow up with your institutional fund manager directly.

We hope this membership will encourage ISU authors to make their scholarship open and accessible. If you have questions regarding ISU’s support of PeerJ, or other Open Access initiatives supported by ISU, visit the University Library Open Scholarship Services website.

All co-authors on a paper must have a valid PeerJ Membership to publish.
