Summary

Dr. Feixas is Director of the three-year master program on “Cognitive-Social Therapy” (constructivist and systemic emphasis), the one-year master programs on “Couples and Sex Therapy”, “Psychological Interventions for Eating Disorders and Obesity”, and of the postgraduate course on “Clinical Hypnosis”. He has supervised several doctoral dissertations (eight completed and ten in progress) and is a member of the Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior (UB). He has directed several funded research projects and is also the coordinator of the research group “Intervention in Clinical and Health Psychology” at the UB, recognized by the Catalan government (Generalitat de Catalunya).

Dr. Feixas is teaching various subjects in Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) both graduate and undergraduate. He is Director, teacher and trainer of the three-year master program on “Cognitive-Social Therapy” (constructivist and systemic emphasis), the one-year master programs on “Couples and Sex Therapy”, “Psychological Interventions for Eating Disorders and Obesity”, and of the postgraduate course on “Clinical Hypnosis”.

The Institute of Neurosciences
The Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Barcelona gathers researchers aiming to understand the central nervous system in all the analysis levels, from the biology of the neuron, through the formation of neural circuits, to the global function of the brain, which is the basis of cognition and behaviour. The Institute of Neurosciences was constituted in 2015, in order to highlight the research in neurosciences by the University of Barcelona, and to boost synergies between disciplines which traditionally have been separated. The Institute joins about 300 members from the Faculties of Psychology, Medicine, Biology and Pharmacy.
