Dr. Eduard Monsó graduated in Medicine from Universitat de Barcelona in 1981, and attained his Ph.D. Degree in Medicine at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1987. Dr. Monsó has been professor at the Universitat de Barcelona, and is currently Associated Professor of the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. Dr. Eduard Monsó finished his training in Respiratory Medicine in 1985 and has worked the following years at the Institut Català de la Salud, and is currently the Head of the Department of Respiratory Diseases at the Hospital Universitari del Parc Taulí de Sabadell. His research interests focused on COPD, lung cancer, endoscopy techniques, respiratory epidemiology and bronchial infections. Hes has been Associated Investigator at the Institut de Recerca Germans Trias i Pujol and Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Dr. Eduard Monsó is currently the Head of the Research Group in Respiratory Diseases Metropolitana Nord de Barcelona (RESPINORD-BCN), part of Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Enfermedades Respiratorias – Ciberes. Dr. Eduard Monsó is author of 150 research papers published in international journals.
