Summary

My research uses genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, ecology, and microbiology to study molecular function and evolution of organismal interactions in cnidarians. More specifically, we study the molecular architecture and stress response of corals by 1) characterizing its members (i.e. the coral host, the photosynthetic algal symbiont, and the bacterial community), 2) characterizing the genomes, transcriptomes, and metyhlomes of members, and 3) developing a functional genomics toolbox.
