Summary

I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University, working with Andy Biewener and Stephanie Pierce. My work combines macroevolutionary and biomechanical approaches to study animal locomotion in extinct and extant animals. My dissertation research focuses on evolutionary digit reduction in fossil horses. This project draws on a variety of methods, including comparative phylogenetics, finite element modeling, and kinetics and kinematics.
