Universidad Michoacana becomes our latest Institutional Membership, meaning affiliated authors can publish OA without paying an APC

We are absolutely delighted to welcome our first Institutional Member in Mexico, Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Universidad Michoacana is a public university in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, and one of the oldest higher education institutions in the Americas.

By taking out an Annual Institutional Membership (AIM), Michoacana faculty, staff and students can now choose Open Access publishing in any PeerJ journals without having to pay an APC. Michoacana has chosen the manual approval option for AIMs, so affiliated authors need to make an application to verify their eligibility to publish using the membership by completing this form. An application should be made for each new submission, and will be reviewed by the team at Universidad Michoacana.

A PeerJ Annual Institutional Membership (AIM) provides unlimited, frictionless OA publishing for institutional partners and their faculty. Simple to manage, easy to purchase and providing great cost saving opportunities, researchers will never have to worry about having to pay an APC, and librarians can say goodbye to the administrative overhead of dealing with payments on an article by article basis.

Institutions who are interested in AIMs should contact PeerJ.
