PeerJ Computer Science Conference Collection with AWIST 2022
We are happy to announce that PeerJ Computer Science is teaming up with the ASEAN Workshop on Information Science and Technology (AWIST) to create a Conference Collection for AWIST 2022 titled “Advances and Foundations in Artificial Intelligence Technology and Computing”.
The ASEAN Workshop on Information Science and Technology (AWIST) is held annually to discuss state-of-the-art topics and find breakthroughs to help solve current and future problems based on a specific theme. The theme of AWIST 2022 is “Impact & Influence of Technology and Computing”, and the workshop will be held at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) on December 14 & 15, 2022 as a hybrid event.
The transition of COVID-19 from epidemic to endemic has led to the rising numbers of innovations in technology and computing that had a significant impact and influence on people, either individually, in groups, institutions, communities, society, and even at the national levels. Since technology and computing have increasingly become networked, distributed, and accessible, the boundary of what is possible is only limited by our imagination. This workshop aims to establish a panel of discussion on the theme of impact and influence of technology and computing, both general and specific, in one discipline or multidiscipline, and either mixed, quantitative or qualitative types of research.
Advances and Foundations in Artificial Intelligence Technology and Computing – PeerJ Computer Science Conference Collection
This PeerJ Computer Science Conference Collection, in association with AWIST 2022, will contain invited research presented at the 10th ASEAN Workshop on Information Science and Technology. AWIST has been a platform for knowledge dissemination and initiating collaborations at national and international levels between Asian and European countries. The event focuses on scientific and technological advances in information systems and information technology, particularly on intelligence systems (IS), artificial intelligence (AI), and its applications.
This Conference Collection is intended to attract academics and practitioners interested in contributing fundamental works and theoretical advances of AI and IS. In addition, we hope to encourage rapid and wide dissemination of knowledge that will bring broad academic interest and societal impact to the field.
The deadline for submissions is 31st March 2023.
Topics of interest revolve around foundational and theoretical advances of AI and IS, including, but not limited to, in the context of:
- Health, healthcare, entertainment, well-being, accessibility, digitalization.
- Environment, society, acceptance, sustainability, cybersecurity, awareness.
- Information, knowledge, and education management.
- Pedagogy support system, learning, and instructional design.
- Human-computer interface, interface design and application areas.
