Free Human–Computer Interaction publishing! Our latest 10th birthday celebration

In 2022 we are celebrating a decade of PeerJ. Launched in June 2012, PeerJ is now 10 years old! We are launching a number of celebratory promotions – or birthday presents! – this year to share our thanks and appreciation to our users who have made the last decade possible.

Our latest celebration is free publishing for human-computer interaction research for the first 10 days of August.

New human-computer interaction articles submitted to PeerJ Life & Environment or PeerJ Computer Science between August 1st and August 10th will automatically receive an Article Processing Charge (APC) waiver – just select Human-Computer Interaction as a subject when you submit.

We want as many human-computer interaction researchers to benefit from this offer, so please share this announcement with your network:

One of many birthday celebrations

We’re announcing plenty of celebratory promotions over the coming months, so keep an eye out on the blog, follow us on Twitter or sign up for email alerts to be the first to find out. Current live promotions include #MyFavouritePeerJPaper and an expertRxiv prize draw.

We’re excited about the programs and initiatives we’ve launched and supported over the last decade, and we’re excited about what the next ten years will bring. Thank you to all our authors, editors, reviewers and readers for your support and contributions since 2012 – we couldn’t have done it without you.

The waiver is only for the APC; other charges may still apply (e.g. for articles longer than 40 typeset pages); author services (copy-editing, video and graphical abstracts) are not included. Submissions that are started but not fully submitted, and manuscripts submitted outside of this period, are not eligible. Articles submitted before the promotion period cannot be withdrawn and then resubmitted to receive the waiver. To receive the APC waiver you must select Human-Computer Interaction as a subject when submitting. If you have any questions please contact the PeerJ Communities Team.
