Boost the visibility of your research
PeerJ is committed to helping you maximise the visibility of your research. We have found that a short social media video summary helps to build interest around your published article.
We have been seeing very positive responses to short pieces of video content and invite all PeerJ authors to submit a 2 minute or shorter self-shot video summary of your research. We will share your video with our Twitter audience of over 21,000 people including academics, funders and a wide cross-section of the general public interested in the latest research.
Your social media summary will link directly to your PeerJ research article.
What’s involved?
Shoot a short video (no more than 2 minutes) on your computer/mobile phone that provides some extra insight into your published work.
Some general points to cover:
- Introduce yourself, including your name and institution
- What was the conclusion of your research?
- Why is this relevant/of interest to the general public?
- What do you hope to do next?
You can email us your video at [email protected] or just tweet us @thepeerj
We look forward to seeing your social media video summaries.
