Modeling blow fly development for postmortem interval (PMI) estimation

Knowing the development behavior of blow flies is important for forensic investigations into the time of death. This study examined the development of Lucilia sericata under different temperature regimes. It is one of the first to elucidate fundamentally important assumptions made by practitioners in the field.
