First discovery in Europe of one of the 100 worst invasive alien species in the world

In the list of the 100 worst invasive alien species in the world , there is only one terrestrial flatworm: Platydemus manokwari, also called the New Guinea flatworm. This species has now been found in Europe (Caen, France) for the first time, prompting calls from the scientists concerned for urgent action to prevent it from proliferating.
