MAHA THAFAR received the B.S. degree in computer science from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the M.S. degree in computer science from Kent State University, Kent, OH, USA, in December 2015. She earned her Ph.D. degree in computer science (bioinformatics) from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) 2022, Saudi Arabia. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department, Collage of Computers and Information Technology at Taif University, Taif, Saudi Arabia. Her current research interests include developing computational methods from artificial intelligence, machine/deep learning, and data and graph mining, and using them in the biomedical domain, specifically in drug repositioning.
