Summary

Vinod Chandra is working as the Professor, Department of Computer Science, University of Kerala. Since 1999, he has taught in various Engineering Colleges in the Kerala State. He had his Ph. D. from the University of Kerala, M B A from IGNOU, M. Tech from CUSAT with first rank and B Tech from the University of Calicut. He has discovered four microRNAs in the human cell. He has five IPR in algorithms and has a patent. He had authored eight books and a modest number of research publications in reputed journals and conference proceedings. He is a reviewer of many international journals and conferences. He was an associate editor of the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Techniques and International Journal of Machine Intelligence and Sensory Signal Processing. His research area includes machine learning algorithms, nature-inspired computing, and computational biology. He is a research supervisor in Computer Science and produced eight Ph. Ds. He is a member of the Board of Studies of many Universities in Kerala. He is a member of the faculty in Applied Science & Technology of the University of Kerala. He is leading many e-Governance projects associated with Universities and Government. He holds many consultancies and sponsored projects from Universities and Government organizations.
